I will be opening in two weeks and really appreciate the feedback you all are providing.  Good idea on the 10 cent candy.

We removed all of our testers and have them available if someone wants to smell the scent.  We also had a large container of 10 cent candy which customers used to sort through to make their selection.  The candy is now separated in individual containers and are located behind the counter.  The gift shop staff hand sanitizes and then selects the candy the customer would like.  We've been doing this for over a month and customers are appreciating the extra safety precautions.

We are working on re-opening our gift shop with parameters for social distancing, cleaning etc..... As a topic of concern... testers - for hand lotion came up.  Are any of you planning to do away with testers?   We are going to have a hand sanitizer stand at the entrance of the shop so people will need to sanitize prior to entering.  However, discussion took place re: are testers more likely than anything else to be touched multiple times.   Anyone shopping will be picking items up, so I am not sure if testers have any more of a risk than anything else.
