    Hi Joni, 

    Our volunteers are largely back in action, with the exception of our Spiritual Care folks. We have volunteers in Guest Services, Registration, Surgery Waiting, Unit Ambassadors, Women's Health, PAT, Endo, PreOp/PACU, Supply Chain, Nutrition Services, EVS, Emergency, Gift Shop, Maternity/NICU, Pet Therapy, Infusion, Cardiac, Music Visitation, etc. We really don't have any restrictions at this point, aside from the Spiritual Care roles.

    Hi Joni! We are still working on bringing our volunteers back (lots of moving parts outside of COVID) so we currently only have Guest Guides (way finding), ED, Pet Therapy (staff only) and Volunteer RN’s. Over the next several months though we plan to bring back our piano players, Dempsey Center (patient education and support), Sewing Guild (in hospital sewing), Patient Floor Duty, Patient Discharge, NICU, Veteran Visitation and more but I just can’t think of them right now ;)

    We utilize volunteers in Registration (greeting and checking patients in), Women's Care (walking patients back to dressing room, taking paperwork to Techs), Dietary (help serving food and cleaning tables) Surgery transport.

    We have volunteers in our cancer care center, chaplain services, crafters, environmental services (laundry), facilities (caring for plants in our tranquility garden), gift shop, information desks, meal delivery (inpatients), menu education, delivering mail, patient pals (rounds to patient rooms), pet therapy, storeroom (stocking), surgery waiting, women's health, and clerical support in my office.  I am also working on a peer support volunteer program for cancer patients.

    We currently have volunteers serve as greeters/wayfinding, delivering mail, gift shop sales associates, mobile & community meals, and in a few department offices. 

    I am interested in learning of other areas volunteers serve throughout the healthcare system.
