In today’s ever-changing environment, situational awareness and preparedness is vital to our safety in the workplace. Given our roles in healthcare, the need to be prepared for an active shooter event is of growing importance.
During this webinar, Officer Fred Hampton will educate us on active shooter planning & response in a healthcare setting. He’ll also provide awareness and share how we can educate our volunteers given the “Run, Hide, Fight” method.
Fred Hampton served Honorable as a United States Marine for six years and upon discharge in 1994, he began his career in law enforcement and has 28 years of law enforcement experience. He worked for the City of Hillsboro Police Department for 19 years. Fred served as the Chief of Police for the Village of Aberdeen Police Department before coming to the Adena Health System Police Department. He has accumulated over 1000 hours of addition law enforcement training which includes Special Response training, Firearms instructor and Hostage negotiations. Fred is currently a reserve Deputy with the Highland County Sheriff’s Office and works full time for the Adena Health System Security Department.
