There have been some situations that volunteers have been receiving mail from the State Unemployment Office or Family/Job Services.

Scammers are taking advantage of high unemployment rates sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic and filing claims in the names of ordinary Americans...some of these are our very own volunteers and/or auxiliary members.

Such activity is considered identity theft which could lead to legal and financial trouble for its victims.

Attached is a document that I sent out to our Volunteers and Auxilians in our Cincinnati region in hopes they not fall victim of these scams as well as tips of what to do in case they do receive mailings of this nature.

Hope this will be helpful to you and your teams.
